Wife of Kenny and mother of Finlay. Started singing with ‘Vintage JB’ in Glasgow with Farrie Forsyth (drms) in 1958. Moved to Edinburgh where she sang with ‘Climax JB’ then to London and ‘Kid Martyn Ragtime band’. Inactive in jazz in Essex while raising family then started on piano in 1967. By 1975, after gigging, was with ‘Criterion JB’ in Essex before returning to Edinburgh in 1977. Founder member of ‘Spirits of Rhythm’, which band she leads and which includes husband Kenny (dms).
